Welcome to Day 20 in our 31 Day series on A Mom’s Guide to Getting it All Done. In case you missed yesterday’s post you may want to go and read it first. Or just jump in right here with us today.
I am very black and white. I like things laid out for me and explained well. I also don’t like to be in the dark or not know what is going to happen.
Unfortunately, that’s not always how God works with us in our lives. He gives us promises in His Word that are very black and white but He also asks us to trust Him for the in-between and the waiting times to see those promises fulfilled.
I don’t know about you but sometimes in the in between places I can get stuck. I don’t have all the answers, don’t always have a clear path and don’t really know what move to make next.
In mothering that can look like not knowing what systems to put into place with your kids, or how to train them up the best. With your dreams, your work or your ministry, it can look like feeling called but not knowing where to start.
Let’s get unstuck today in those places.
I had been in a desperate place trying to figure out how to go about the things that God had been whispering to my heart that are a part of my calling. In the midst of feeling stuck I heard God say “You keep waiting for permission. I’ve given you permission. Go ahead.”
It still wasn’t a clear picture of how to do those things. It was just permission to start. The thing is that I might even make some mistakes or go in the wrong direction but because I am seeking Him for wisdom and trust Him, I know that He will all of it work out for my good.
Is waiting for permission part of your inability to get everything done that you feel called to? If you feel stuck ask God about this today. Ask Him to show you what you already have permission to do and trust that He’s got you even if you make some mistakes along the way.
