You are powerful. Yes, I’m talking to you – the mom with the tired eyes and small, kid wiped, stains on her shirt. You are powerful. Even if you don’t realize it.
There’s a war going on in this world and you are a key player. The war is for hearts and minds. It is for the leaders of tomorrow and which side they will be on. It is for generations to come and whether or not their character will stand up to the temptations of this world.
We’ve been told to be sweet and kind and always mind our manners. But sometimes we just need to knock over some tables and raise our voices in opposition to the force that would try to wreck our lives and steal our kids hearts and have us weeping over spilled milk.
It’s time that a generation of moms stand up (together is even better) and declare war. We are powerful and the enemy would have us believe we just live simple little petty lives of changing diapers and cleaning toilets. And we’ve bought it…for too long.
Stand up. Fight for your family. You will win if you fight. You are so powerful!
How long will we sit in the dark and whine about what is going on in our lives and with our children? No more, I say.
If you are a believer and are filled with the Holy Spirit then you are filled with power from on high {Luke 24:49}. You are NOT insignificant. What you do day in and day out does matter! You have the ability and the authority to shape a new generation that will affect generations to come.
We are told to not get mad but to get even. I’m saying let’s get mad and even. The enemy wants us to lie down in our beds of frustration and feeling overwhelmed. But let’s realize how equipped we are to fight. Let’s arm ourselves with the Word and believe what it says about us. Let’s accept our authority over the territory we have been given and rise up and take some land!
Dear, sweet, precious mom of little ones. Inside of you is a warrior. Let her out! There’s a war going on and the King is enlisting help. Will you join? It may cost you everything but you have everything to gain.

WOW…this post is powerful!! Michelle, I am doing the same by printing off to remind myself. In fact, I will share on my Facebook wall to share with my “mommy-friends” that could use encouraging words as yours Kristin. Thank you!

I hope you do not mind, I will place the link on Facebook to lead them here.

I don’t mind at all. Thanks for sharing!

I’m so glad it speaks to you and thank you for sharing! The more moms who understand how powerful they are the more likely we will be to influence a new generation that will be powerful in God’s Kingdom. Blessings, Kristin

Kristen! So enjoy your writing! What a blessing you are! The truths you reveal are so needed by women of different levels! I am a single mother of a 39 yr old special needs son. I am so greatful for my journey, but words like you write & address help on days of overwhelm, which I am so familiar with! Thankyou!

thanks Kristin, i remember when the Spirit whispered, “battle for their destiny” – and i was part wallowing part sinking..and ain’t even the fighting sort. But you can smell Truth and so i breathed deep and hunkered down… and the war rages on but there is sweetness of victory, rest, and rescue (in order of need!) :)

Yes, it’s good to stir ourselves up and remind ourselves that we have authority to speak life over our homes, children, and (on many days) our sanity. Great reminder!
