Dear Moms,
Let’s make a choice today. Let’s choose to forget about all the things we didn’t do, tried but didn’t do well, were too tired to attempt or didn’t know how to do.
Let’s take a break from giving ourselves a hard time or beating ourselves up and cheer ourselves on for a moment because, let’s face it, we’re pretty amazing!
Way to go you for rolling out of bed without feeling fully rested and tending to your littles needs to be fed.
You were brilliant when you wiped up spilled milk and soothed the anxious child who dropped it at the same time.
You should have seen the smile on your face when your little one held your hand as you navigated the parking lot at the store. You’ll remember the way that little hand felt forever.
No can maneuver the isles of the grocery store faster than you when you are on a mission. You distracted those kids well and the smile and nod you gave to the other mom wrangling 2 tired toddlers? Bravo! It was just what she needed.
You do spur-of-the-moment potty breaks with class and having extra diapers in your bag to rescue the mom in restroom who just ran out? Genius!
You rocked it when you whipped up mac n cheese with a side of carrots for lunch.
When you were hoping to get laundry done during nap time but instead were consistent with discipline so your child would stay in bed? Seriously amazing!
Snuggling with the littles while watching Veggie Tales and getting nothing else done all afternoon? Brilliant.
That sibling fight you broke up with encouragement to be kind? So great!
Sending the kids outside to run and play for 15 minutes was a smart move. They’ll be extra tired and fall right to sleep at bedtime. But you knew that.
Calling out for dinner was the perfect move. The kids and daddy love it and you are giving yourself a well-earned break.
Saying prayers and reading at bedtime and answering all. the. questions. Ah-Mazing!
Cuddling with your man and watching your favorite show at the end of the night or reading that great book? Icing on the cake.
Say it with me “I rock!”
