I just had to write today. It’s been a while. A long while. I have been so busy but in a good way!
I went to Blissdom {a blogging conference} in March and had a great time! It was very different from any other blogging conference I have ever been to but I really enjoyed the speakers. I have to say that I believe God had me there for a few divine appointments. He also gave me some more defined directions for my writing which is exciting to me.
I got to spend some time at Blissdom with the other Declare Conference Team Hosts and I just have to say that I love these ladies! I love their hearts for God and their passion for serving bloggers. I feel so blessed and honored to be a part of the team!
Speaking of The Declare Conference, I am staying busy with the behind-the-scenes planning of it. Last year, with a much smaller conference, it was a lot less work. This year we changed it up and are making it MUCH bigger. It is all because of the words God spoke to our hearts about His vision for it. It’s exciting and scary with a lot of fun thrown in! I have become so passionate about serving and equipping bloggers to share truth that God speaks into their lives with a world so in need of the Truth. So, this conference is something I am so excited about. If you blog, or want to, I’d LOVE to see you there!
I am also currently working on a project that I am having so much fun with {perhaps too much?}. I am helping Jan Greenwood get the word out about her new book Women at War. I heard Jan speak about women’s relationships in a meeting at church and was so impacted by the subject. I went home that night and tweeted her asking when the book was coming out. It was such a powerful teaching and I just new it was the stuff books were made of. Months later when I saw her tweet that she did, indeed, have a book coming out I felt so impressed to email her about helping to get the word out with bloggers and social media. Jan let me know she had been praying for wisdom/knowledge/help on how to do that. I feel so blessed to get to help spread the message of hope and peace that God has put on her heart!
Jan’s book, Women at War, is so excellent! I will share my review with you soon but I will say that you will want to get it! Every woman, of every age needs this book. It is about our relationships with women and ending the cycle of hurt between us. And it’s so much more than that! I could hardly put it down except that I have 6 kids and reading time is few and far between. God did an amazing work in my heart as I read it. {P.S. If you are a blogger and want to review it contact me! We’d love for you to!}
All of this to say that I am still here and still very much excited to continue writing in this space as God prompts my heart. These other things I am working on are a part of what God has for me now and I know they are a part of God’s calling for my here and now.
So, what’s going on with you? What is God stirring up in you and how is He leading you?
