He sees you.
As you wash the remnants of the day down the drain from dishes piled high, He’s standing close and whispering love and affection.
He watches as you press on in your day when you feel like giving up. He sees the small hands tugging at you when you feel like you cannot possibly be pulled into their world for any more moments. He hears you speak truth to lies that try to invade little hearts. He knows your heart, in its naked form, and your heart for them is from Him.
And He wraps tender arms around your tired body and holds you up when you feel like you are too weak to stand for even a moment more. He holds, holds you here. Pours into the depths of who you are – who He knows you are and created you to be. Can you feel Him here in this moment?
Your mind wants to replay the day and focus on where you fell short but the depths of His love for you come pouring out of Him in words that encourage you and call out His greatness in you. His words sound pleasant to your entire being and ring with truth that echo through lies until they break apart and fall away.
He sees you and He’s proud of you. He loves the way you love your children, your husband. He sees the things you do mindlessly because you’ve done them a thousand times before each day and He counts each one. Your hands and feet are His hands and feet to serve those He loves and that He calls you to love.
He sees you and loves to watch you in action – not because He’s checking to see where you make a mistake – but to cover your mistakes. To give you new mercies and to tell you how loudly His heart beats for you.
And when He wraps those tender arms around your tired body – lean hard into Him. Press into His love and let it be your fuel to keep going. Lean into His affirmation and out of it will flow a deeper portion of love for those you are called to serve. When little hands tug at you, they desire to grasp more of Him. Be able to lead them to His arms because you’ve been there first.
And never forget… He sees you.

I woke, made the bed, took the dogs out, pulled my coffee into myself and opened your blog. What sweet music to my ears, beauty to my eyes, knowledge to my mind and refreshment to my soul. Thank you. He is watching me and it is a good thing…a very good thing.
