So, you may want to know what’s going on with Brave Moms, eh? I made a big announcement and then… I haven’t said much since. It’s not for lack of words but rather for lack of go ahead.
I’ve been praying. A lot. Seeking God for direction and wisdom on how to do this. It seems as though this is one of those times when He is giving me the “what” but only telling me the “how” one step as a time.
The exciting thing to me is that God is teaching me this stuff now in my own life. I’m living this call to be brave and seeing the different it is making in my life, the lives of my children and the lives of those around me. I’m figuring out that being brave is way more about love than I thought it was. Both God’s love for us, our own decisions to take time to be filled up with love and giving love away. I’ll share some more about this love stuff in upcoming posts.
I am excited that I see the word “brave” everywhere these days. It only confirms to me that God is up to calling us to step up and out to be brave. The thing I wonder though is what do we think of when we hear the word brave? Is it becoming diluted to us? Because I really believe that you and I can live brave lives as moms.
Doesn’t it thrill you to no end to think about being a mom who is strong, courageous, fearless and trusts with her whole heart? Ah, me too! I want this so badly. I want it because I believe that I can have it. We can have it.
Let’s pray and ask God to give us a fresh revelation of what it means to be brave. Let’s ask Him to help us trust Him when He tells us we can (in Joshua 1:9). Let’s dream about what this means and what it looks like.
I’ll keep you in the loop about Brave Moms. I’d also love to answer any questions you have about it. Leave me a comment or contact me. Thanks friends!

Hello Kristin!
I love your website! I love the look — it’s so soft and inviting, and of course I’m drawn in even more by the beautiful words of your blog.
I’m a mom — two children that I’ve given birth to and 5 that I’ve been blessed with by marriage, and at 47 I’m also a grammy.
In my daily routine I’m an assistant publicist for Revell but I’m also a writer/blogger and an artist. My life is crazy busy but I have to say that as I visited your site and began to read your words I felt myself slowing down and breathing them in…
What a blessing and a gift.
My word for 2014 is Fearless and so this post, Brave Moms, was a reminder and an inspiration to be strong and courageous, to keep pushing through, to be Brave. These words, “Let’s pray and ask God to give us a fresh revelation of what it means to be brave. Let’s ask Him to help us trust Him when He tells us we can (in Joshua 1:9). Let’s dream about what this means and what it looks like.” were especially encouraging to me! I’m praying, and dreaming and believing!
I attended Allume last year (with Revell) not sure if we met…I wont be attending this year but I’m looking forward to following you and breathing in more inspiration from you in the days and weeks to come.
I’m praying with you on the “wisdom and direction” as I prepare to move and re-launch my blog. I’m believing that He will give me the “how- one step at a time” too.
Keep bravely writing!
God bless,
Lanette

Hi Lynette, I cannot tell you how much you have encouraged me! Thank you for taking the time to say “hello” and introduce yourself. I don’t believe we met at Allume but I wish we had.
How exciting to be relaunching your blog! I did that about 2 years ago now (time flies!) and it was challenging but rewarding. Let me know if you have any questions that I can attempt to answer for you.
I love that your word for 2014 is fearless. That one word stirs up something in me. I’m convinced that is the way we were meant to live. Excited to have connected with you and I look forward to getting to know you.
Blessings,
Kristin
