We’ve made it to day 10 in our 31 day series on becoming an excellent {not perfect} mother. Do you see a common theme running through each post? I hope that you do.
You see, I don’t have all of the answers. I struggle every day to mother my children well. I battle failure thoughts, major parenting challenges and wanting to just give up sometimes. Even having been at it for 15 years, I feel like just a baby of a momma needing so much more wisdom and knowledge on how to mother well.
But the one thing I do know is that I serve a faithful God and He is a perfect parent. When my son is on my last nerve God whispers to my heart “I know him through and through and know how to connect with his heart.” When my daughters are struggling with confidence He points out “Teach them about how I see them and then their confidence cannot be shaken.”
So, I hope that in every single post you feel challenged and compelled to draw closer to your Heavenly Father as your source for becoming an excellent mother. I pray that you would learn to rely on him and not books, or advice or blog posts alone.
I want to encourage you by sharing the many things God has shown me on my mothering journey but you need your own, fresh, revelations from Him for your own situations and your own unique children. Press into Him today and watch your mothering become more and more excellent. No other practical advice can compare to a Word from His heart to yours. His words are life!
Don’t let anything stand in the way of time spent in God’s presence today. How can you make room for Him in your day?
If you missed any of the other posts you can find all of them here. I pray you are encouraged by them!
