Wow! We’ve reached the very end of our 31 days. I am a little bit amazed that I was able to keep up and write a post each day. I believe it is because I am so passionate about this topic and my heart is so set on pursuing excellence as a godly woman.
I am beyond thankful that you joined me during this time! I so appreciate your comments and thoughts here and on Facebook and twitter. If you’ve been reading this series but haven’t commented I’d love to hear from you today. Just a quick little hi would be amazing to me because I treasure you and pray for you. To know your name and hear your thoughts are so valuable to me.
I am so thankful for the work that God has done in my heart this 31 days. As I sought Him for each post He spoke to my heart and changed things inside of me. I really believe that He gave me a new perspective and drew me closer to Himself.
Here are some of the most valuable things I learned or reflected on in this series:
Putting First Things First – This has changed my life over the past few years. God has done more in my heart and life in the past few years of me putting Him first than in many years before when I was struggling to do things in my own strength. I was aiming for the title of perfect mom but falling far short of excellence.
Breaking the Cycle – Again, this truth has been powerful in my life! I have learned to quickly identify lies that the enemy tries to feed me and overcome them with truth.
A Good Wife – I cannot get over the discovery that God’s Word seems to focus far more on becoming whole and the qualities of a good wife than it does how to mother well. I believe this is because God made us with the instincts to mother well when we walk in wholeness and learn to to be good wives. It makes me believe even more strongly that moms who are walking in freedom and wholeness have the capacity to be excellent and have a powerful impact {for good} on our children.
What We Fear– This is still a fresh work in my heart but I am in awe at how God is setting me free and truly being strength in my weakness. I am learning to be really honest about my fears and letting God take my shame. He is healing deep places in my heart and that is changing the way I do life and motherhood.

I’ve been thinking that I would like to make this series into a free eBook to offer you with even more material and encouragement for moms. Kind of like a 31 day devotional on becoming an excellent mother. What do you think? Would that be helpful to you?
Thank you again for joining me in the journey! I am going to take a few days for quiet before I post again but I have some incredible things to share with you!
Love you much!

I’ve been reading your blog for a few months and so enjoy it! I am 13 weeks pregnant with our first child, so I value everything I learned from your posts so much. I am excited, petrified, overwhelmed, thrilled, hormonal (crazy!), all rolled into one huge emotion. I learned just from the title of this series – I was already afraid of falling short and not being the perfect mommy our baby deserves – relieved that excellence is what I need to aim for. Thank you so much for the time put into your blog. May God bless you and your family!
