Today I want to remind you, when you are in the midst of the challenges of motherhood, don’t forget to keep asking.
Keep asking for victory in the areas that you need victory.
Keep asking for freedom from the issues that seem to have you bound.
Keep asking for God to move on your child’s heart.
Keep asking to become an excellent mom.
God is a good God and He hears us. He has instructed us to keep asking, to pursue Him with our hearts.
Don’t grow weary but rather keep going to Him, pouring your heart out and seeking Him for the growth and change you want to see in your life or in your child’s life.
About 4 years ago my family moved from Florida to Texas. All 8 of us packed up our home and moved as a result of a job change for my husband. Or so we thought. Actually the move was an answer to my asking God over and over again to set me free.
I had prayed for several years that God would set my heart free. I knew that I had issues that were tripping me up. I knew I cared way too much what people thought of me and had a closed up heart that wouldn’t let many people in. So I cried out to God over and over again to set me free and to reveal to me why I could belong to Him but still feel so bogged down with issues.
Back to the move – God heard my prayer all of those years and moved us halfway across the country to a church that has an amazing freedom ministry. He shook up our world to answer my prayers. Today I walk in an incredible amount of freedom because I continued to ask God to be healed and set free.
So don’t give up. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep pursuing His heart.
