I want you to know that you cannot fail at this mothering thing when the Lord is your shepherd. I know that you may often fear that you you will fail but you will not.
Can I put your mind at ease?
One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 23:1 which says:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need.” {NLT}
You have everything you need…to be an excellent mother …To parent the difficult child …To raise up a strong generation of warriors ready to see His Kingdom come.
You have everything you need to face your fears and rise up against thoughts that need to be taken captive.
You have everything you need to do this job and do it well and you really cannot fail.
How do I know you cannot fail? Especially when failure threatens to be your close friend as you go about your day? How can I guarantee that you cannot fail when you feel like you’re drowning with no hope of a lifeline? Because God’s word assures me that you cannot fail.
Let’s look at that scripture again:
“The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need.” {NLT}
In the Hebrew language the word translated “need” also means fail or (cause to) fail. So you could also read it like this:
“The Lord is my shepherd, I can not fail…”
Make the Lord the shepherd over your mothering. Lean on Him. Rely on Him. Let Him guide you and correct you. Do only what He asks you to do and you cannot fail. He won’t let you!
