You know how sometimes you know you have a lot going on and coming up but you are pretty sure you can get it all done anyway? Yeah, I do that too.
We just got back into town from my sister’s wedding {4 days of driving and 3 days in North Carolina}. It was beautiful and special.
Now that I’m back home I realize that the laundry and unpacking and finishing touches for Christmas are not going to all get done and I have to let some things go. You never do that do you? You never think you can pack more in a day than anyone less than a super hero could actually accomplish? Sigh. I do it all the time.
So I’m taking a deep breath and giving myself grace and insisting on going through this season with peaceful joy in each moment. I paired down our Christmas menu, decided not to write 3 more blog posts, and am using my Amazon Prime membership to have a couple more gifts shipped 2nd day air.
I am going to take a blogging break until after the New Year and so the “I see Jesus in you” posts will resume in 2014 {this encouragement revolution has been so fun for me!}. Let’s keep encouraging others in small ways throughout the holidays.
I want to say a very Merry Christmas to you and your family. May the truth of Christmas awaken in your heart this year as never before. May you feel God’s presence in new and rich ways as you celebrate our Saviors birth. See you again in 2014! xoxo

You’d think after 50 years, I’d know better, but I do it all the time too! It’s a lesson I relearn over and over! Grace, patience, trust and not doing everything!
